80% Superwash Falkland Merino wool / 20% Nylon
100g 400m
Sock/ 4ply/fingering weight yarn
This is a high twist 2ply yarn which will create a bouncy knitted fabric. It's ideal for socks but is suitable for all sorts of garments. Colours on this yarn base are so vibrant.
Gauge:
In the round 2.25mm - 37sts & 52 rows
Knitted Flat 2.5mm - 31sts & 47 row
These have been photographed indoors in my workshop. Colours may vary slightly under different lighting conditions. I have done my best to capture the colours as accurately as possible. Some colours are notoriously difficult to represent correctly on the screen - teals and blue/greens are the worst offenders with the results looking either blue or just green.
If the yarn is 'superwash' (or SW), it has been treated to prevent shrinking in the washing machine. Even though SW yarns can be put through the washer, I recommend gently hand washing or soaking your finished items in cool/lukewarm water with a mild wool wash - this will help keep your colours looking bright. Hot water may make the colours bleed or fade. To dry, gently wring out and lay flat.
Need more of this?
My yarn is dyed in tiny batches of two. If you'd like a custom order I'd be delighted to do that for you. You can contact me through this shop or you can message me on Instagram.

Frequently asked questions
Do you collect tax?
I do not collect tax. Any customs charges will have to be paid by you once your parcel has reached your country. I am not registered for VOEC in Norway - Head over to my etsy shop where you can pay your fees when you checkout.
(If something of mine isn't available on etsy but it is here, let me know and I can make you a special listing in my etsy shop)
There's something I'd like but it's not available in your etsy shop
You can message me here or message me over on etsy and let me know which items you'd like. I'll then make you a special listing for them. I may have to increase the price as Etsy's fees are higher.
Please be aware that my Etsy shop may be in 'vacation mode'
Ordering from the EU?
I'm no longer sending orders to the EU. I'm so sorry.
What sort of mailers do you use?
All my orders are currently sent in brown Kraft paper mailers - UK and international. I also use cardboard boxes and I may also reuse old boxes for larger orders. Kraft paper mailers are splash proof but they probably won't survive being left out in the rain. From years of sending plastic mailers, I can tell you that not even plastic mailers can keep the water out. If you can, please have a safe place for your parcel to be left - I'd be happy to write a note for the postie on the mailer.
How do you package your fibre?
Currently, all my fibres are packaged in glassine paper bags.
Glassine paper is easily recyclable, and also compostable
If I run out of glassine bags or I've had a big order, I may need to pack the fibre in to a large plastic bag to make it easier to send as it helps pack the fibres in tightly.
Is your Merino non-mulesed?
YES! and it always has been.
My batts are made from commercially dyed 21-micron Merino sourced from South American flocks.
My 23-micron belnded top is from non-mulesed South African Merino flocks.
My order hasn't arrived and I'm getting worried. What should I do?
Don't worry! Message me here by using the CONTACT button and let me know that your order hasn't arrived. We'll take it from there. Sometimes there are strikes, bad weather, and general mistakes that can really delay a parcel.
You can always message me on Instagram too.
Contact me at whichever place you feel comfortable contacting me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Can I pick up my order from you?
I'm really sorry, but I don't offer local collections. I'm an online business and I no longer work from a workshop that is open to the public.
